Everyone was getting into their groups ready to go
into the massive hall. Alan, our tour guide, was taking us in. To
us he said, "Hundred of years ago, there were some soldiers that didn't know
their way around NZ, so they got lost every time.
There was a
farmer and every time they walked over to him, they asked, "Do you the way to
Ngaruawahia or Hamilton?"
One afternoon, robbers knocked on his door. The farmer
thought it was another soldier but it was robbers. One ran with a
knife and held the farmer up against a wall with a knife at his neck. While he
was doing that, the other robber ran into his room and took
18 massive coins. As they were leaving, the farmer
remembered he had a massive gun behind his curtain. When the farmers were walking
out the door, the farmer made too much noise and the robbers saw the gun, then
soon all three of them were fighting over the gun. Boom! the farmer had got shot in
the wrist. Of course, the farmer didn't care about the coins. He
cared about his arm. When he got outside, he realised his horse was
gone so he had to walk all the way to the hospital.
When he got there, the doctor
said, "We can't fix the infection. We have to chop it off. When they were about to
go to surgery, they found out that there was no medicine. He was awake when it
was chopped off.
After that, we had an activity to do. It sure was a fun day.
