Autumn poem

The  leaves are brown, red and yellow.

Its coming to winter.

Its getting cold.

Leaves are falling.

I'm getting colder than before

I'm about to explode with coldness.

I nearly popped with leaves I could not hold them in my hands.

Crunch! Crunchy leaves, autumn leaves.

Well done, Olivia. You have noticed that, in Autumn, it gets colder. Add adverbs to your verbs, eg Leaves are falling softly, or Leaves are falling gently, or Leaves are quietly falling. Instead of writing The leaves are brown, yellow and red, you could write, The leaves splash brightly, brown, yellow and red, or The brown, yellow and red leaves are sitting silently on the branches, or The brown, yellow and red leaves are sad to be leaving the tree. Use action words in each idea.

The frog

The rain was hailing down. The water was golden. The petals bloomed out like it was spring. The petals were shining like the golden sun.The frog was sailing on  a leaf with a twig on it. The bright yellow petals lay on the dark water. The little stick boat drifted through the water.

Chinese New Year

Gong Xi Fa Cai (Happy New Year in Mandarin)

Did you know the Chinese made fire works.

The Chinese invented tangrams. Tangrams are 7 shapes formed into an object. I made a Christmas tree out of my shapes.
